Fort to Famous Open Mic

Every Monday we have new featured performers including authors, poets, storytellers, and musicians, and a sign up Open Mic portion. The event supports local talent and is open to anyone, so encourage newcomers to come share their artistic gifts!

Halloween Dog Costume Party
Brought in part by Saint Arnold Brewing Company
Tuesday, Oct. 31 - Time 7:00 p.m.

We're teaming up with Saint Arnold Brewing Company on Halloween at 7:00 p.m. and celebrating with pups and St. Arnold's Wagger Ale! Dress your dog up in costume, because we will have a howling good time! 


The oldest craft brewery in Texas launched the Ale Wagger initiative in September 2014 to raise funds for animal welfare organizations, encourage responsible pet ownership and urge the craft beer community to adopt homeless animals. Since the launch, the brewery has partnered with more than a dozen organizations throughout Texas, Louisiana and Florida. In the coming months, brewery officials will present donations representing a portion of proceeds from the sale of Ale Wagger Brown in each market.


Buzz Kill Comedy
Wednesday, Nov. 1- Time 9:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.

Buzzkill is a stand-up comedy showcase that happens every Wednesday and features showcase comedians. It is hosted by the comedic duo of Allison O’Conor and Devon Walker.

Words with Waterloo
Thur. Nov. 2- Time 6:00 p.m.
Words with Waterloo is a party to support family dance education. Here's how it works: You watercolor the paper that will be used to create your poem. You pick a word - any word. Dance Waterloo performs a dance while Scott James uses a typewriter to write a poem on your watercolor paper - both based off your single word. Will Taylor will play live music throughout.

Proceeds from this event support Dance Waterloo's family dance education program, Storybook Dance Making. Learn more about the program atwww.dancewaterloo.org.
Sip on a Dance Waterloo inspired drink created by The Buzz Mill while enjoying live poetry from Scott Andrew James Author Page, music from Will Taylor and Karen Mal of Strings Attached, and dance from Dance Waterloo. Plus amazing items will be raffled off from Austin Panic Room, Austin Zoo, Dart Bowl, Dulce Vida Tequila, Embellish Nails & Boutique, Hat Creek Burger Company, Karbach Brewing Co., Kendra Scott, Tequila 512, and Texas Performing Arts at The University of Texas at Austin.

Ghostwriter
Thurs. Nov. 2- Time 8:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m.

Ghostwriter is the post-punk version of a self-accompanied singer-songwriter. He has opened for icons like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and T-Model Ford, and played festivals from Sleazefest in Chapel Hill, to Not the Same Old Blues Crap in London. Known for his visceral songwriting and unrelenting DIY ethos, Ghostwriter is often dubbed "the original punk-folk troubadour.

Hosting Local bands in the Neighborwoods after a long week working is what we love to do at The Fort. Made for you so camper  don't have to worry about a cover. They can just roll on in and relax with us.

Nick Diaz of Buenos Diaz plays blues influenced guitar rock with pop melodies.

Farm to Fort is The Buzz Mill's Farmers' Market  on the east side of Austin. Working with local farms and artisans within our Neighborwoods is a way we support the local community.

Buzz Mill Brunch is Every Sunday 10:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. We offer a Bloody Mary Bar that will wake campers up with some good 'ol hair of the dog. We're open 24/7, so campers can come as early  as they want to get coffee!

Full Beaver Moon Witches’ Market
Sun.  Nov. 5-  Time 7:00 p.m.- 12:00 a.m.


The Full Moon Witches’ Market is a collection of some of the finest craftspeople in Austin, including Austin Witches Circle and Epis Apothecary.  For their altar this month, bring an offering to give thanks for the final harvest as we look forward to a time of rest, and at the end of the night, we will return these offerings to the elements.

Cari Q’s fervor and enthusiasm for songwriting are qualities to be sought after in this era. Straightforward melodies accompany her resonant lyrics as she pushes the limits of contemporary pop music. Echoing her predecessors, Cari Q’s unique sound evokes memories of Janis Joplin and Loretta Lynn.
