Shelter Building Workshop
This interactive workshop is all about fun, creativity, and learning one of the most fundamental survival skills: shelter building!
Unlock the ancient science of staying dry and warm. Our shelter building workshop is a fascinating blend of survival skill and practical physics. We’ll explore the why behind the how, discussing concepts like insulation, wind deflection, and rainwater runoff. Troop members will get a chance to square off against each other to see who can build the best water-tight shelter with all the tips and tricks they've picked up during this workshop. This isn't just about piling up branches, it's about understanding your environment and working with it to create a life-saving microclimate. You’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation for the natural world and the ingenious skills to thrive in it.
